About CFUH
Our History is in the Hypothermia Shelter ministry for our homeless brothers and sisters that faith communities throughout the Fairfax-Falls Church community share each winter. Participating congregations opened their doors and their hearts to serve this vulnerable population, made homes of their facilities, and shared hot meals, companionship and compassion. While the work was rewarding, volunteers were eager to transform this temporary program into policies and actions that would provide permanent supportive housing for the homeless and ensure affordable housing for all.
